A Statement from the CreatedHere Board of Directors
Dear New Brunswick Arts Community,
Like all of you, and many of our nation’s art organizations and publications, CreatedHere has been facing unprecedented challenges. In an effort to weather this difficult time, we are now run by dedicated volunteers instead of paid staff. Unfortunately, this is not sustainable in the long term.
CreatedHere needs, more than anything, a show of support from the community. The very best thing you can do is subscribe or gift a subscription. This not only helps us and the artists we publish in the short term, but it also increases our circulation numbers, bringing us closer to eligibility for federal grant funding.
We have also created a donation option on our website – even $1 sends a meaningful message.
Last but not least, sharing a post or link to our website is an incredible form of support, and we appreciate that just as much as any monetary contribution. Please, tell the world what CreatedHere means to you.
We are committed to publishing up to and including our March 2022 issue – a very special issue curated by Amy Ash. It is important to note that if you do purchase a subscription, you will be given a prompt refund for any issues we are not able to fulfill. We hope to avoid this route, but we want you to know that we take our commitments to you very seriously. Whether CreatedHere is to continue or not, there is no risk to purchasing.
CreatedHere Magazine has always been a service to the arts community. Publication opportunities are crucial to the wellbeing of the artists and arts writers in your community. It has been an honour to provide support to the talented artists that call New Brunswick home. We are asking now for your help to ensure CreatedHere can continue to fulfill this vital role.
